For some reason, this year, August 31 has lost it’s meaning for me. Yes, it’s the 50th anniversary of independence.

But all things considered, there really is not much to be celebratory about… not from these eyes.

Black Friday… Icing on a nutty fruitcake

Last Friday, July 13, 2007 was a rude awakening on how screwed up this country can be.

Nat Nathaniel Tan was taken into custody on Friday. Yesterday, they tried to extend his remand without him being able to have access to counsel - fortunately they didn’t succeed.
